AUSTIN (KXAN) — New video released by Capital Metro shows it was a close call for one man walking at the Kramer MetroRail station.
On Friday, Aug. 21, a MetroRail going southbound had to apply the emergency brakes for a pedestrian who didn’t notice the train was coming right at him.
In the video it appears the man was aware of the northbound train but didn’t realize the southbound train was seconds away from pulling into the Kramer station. Witnesses tell KXAN News several people on the platforms yelled at the man before he realized the train was about to pass right in front of him.
No one was injured in the near miss.
