COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado (KXRM) – Finding that perfect Halloween costume can take a toll on your pocketbook.

According to Forbes, Americans are expected to spend $2.6 billion on Halloween costumes this year.

One research group says that the average consumer will spend about $75 per person on Halloween accessories and items this Halloween season.

The price tags don’t have to be frightening. Goodwill has both new and used costumes. You can frequently find ready-made or do-it-yourself costumes in the neighborhood of ten dollars.

Some stores even have the option to borrow a costume if you know it won’t get recycled.

If you’re looking for something you can hang onto, sometimes piecing an outfit together will save you money.

Goodwill locations across the Valley are stocking up on clothes for Halloween, but you’ll want to shop early because the best outfits go fast.
