NEW YORK, NY (CNN) – He has claimed to have “Adonis DNA” and “tiger blood,” but on Tuesday morning, Charlie Sheen is expected to make a more serious announcement.
The actor will appear on NBC’s Today Show on Tuesday, and the network confirmed Sheen’s appearance although did not say what his “personal announcement” would be. The interview will be a sit-down with Today Show host Matt Lauer.
A source tells People Magazine that Sheen will reveal he is HIV positive.
Sheen is well-known in Hollywood, not only for his acting roles, but notorious rants and proclamations.
The 50-year-old was fired in 2011 from his starring role on the “Two and a Half Men” sitcom. It came after a public meltdown and lashing-out at the show’s creators.
Sheen has had multiple marriages, two stints in drug rehab and said often that he was “winning.”
