SAN FRANCISCO (KRON, BCN) — The FBI and several local law enforcement agencies held a training exercise at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara Tuesday afternoon.

Even though the big game is months away, security was already a big concern as Super Bowl 50 approaches. Now, with the attacks in Paris, security could be even tighter.

The exercise, which started at 1 p.m., included multiple law enforcement agencies and SWAT, the bomb squad and hazardous materials units, in addition to medical personnel and helicopter crews.

“We look at those incidents that happen, but we respect that if that is affecting how we act, I would say that we constantly train, we constantly evaluate,” FBI Special Agent Bertram R. Fairries said. “We constantly make sure that we are incorporating all of the things we have available to us, including intelligence into our training posture.”

More than 100 people were expected to participate in the planned exercise at the stadium, FBI officials said.

The FBI initially planned to open the exercise to the media but later said it would be closed out of concern for public safety and security.

The FBI said they have been working on security for the Super Bowl for more than a year. The FBI also said there will be additional training exercises in the weeks ahead before the Super Bowl on February 7.
