Yesterday, a mistrial was declared after jurors couldn’t decide whether Porter was responsible for the death of Freddie Gray, whose neck was broken while he was being transported in a police van in April. Prosecutors say Porter was partly to blame for not putting Gray in a seatbelt and not calling for an ambulance when Gray indicated he needed medical help.
