(CNN) – Fed-Ex customers took to Twitter and Facebook to complain about deliveries not arriving in time for Christmas.
The company says it’s doing everything it can to get shipments delivered by Christmas, despite — quote — “slight delays.” A spokeswoman said the delays are due to heavier-than-planned last-minute shipments volumes and severe weather outbreaks in some parts of the U.S.
Among its efforts, the spokesperson said Fed-Ex will run limited delivery operations on Christmas day in some markets to deliver shipments that could not be delivered before Christmas.
Over at UPS, a spokesperson said as far as she knows, there hasn’t been a big problem with packages not being delivered on time.
