First News previews Detroit auto show

DETROIT, Mich. (WKBN) – The 2016 North American International Auto Show in Detroit begins Monday morning.

The big auto makers, including General Motors, will all be part of the show.

Over the next two days, automakers will debut almost four dozen new production vehicles and some experimental concept cars.

The National Automobile Dealers Association is forecasting a record for 2016: 17.7 million new light vehicles will be purchased or leased, two percent more than last year.

President Obama announced Saturday that he will be stopping by later this month.
