SAN ANTONIO, Texas (WKBN) – An elderly man said he almost did not survive an unprovoked attack at a Walmart.
The attack, caught on video, happened in mid-May in San Antonio. The 67-year-old victim, Steven Wall, took about a month to be healthy enough to talk to police.
The worst part of the ordeal for him though, was finding out his dog Gus died in the car.
Wall said he only expected to be gone for a few minutes.
When Wall was rushed to the hospital, the heat in the car overcame Gus.
“He was my everything. We did everything together,” Wall said.
Police are offering up to a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the attack.
