NORTHBROOK, Illinois (WKBN) – A leading insurance company is launching a new tool for small businesses.
Northbrook, Illinois-based Allstate wants to help small business owners better understand the current climate, and factors valuable for launch or expansion decisions.
It’s called The Small Business Barometer, and it takes a lot of information into account, showing potential entrepreneurs the best time to start or build their business.
The barometer came up with an overall score of 60 out of 100 for the country’s small business climate. That’s considered “strong.”
“There are 28 million of us in the U.S..” says Octavio Pina, Allstate Small Business Leader. “And we employ close to 52% of the working population, so the small business sector is a sector that is extremely important for the U.S. economy that we need to understand even more.”
Pina says optimism in the small business market is high right now. Here’s a link to the Allstate study.
