FEDERALSBURG, MD (WCMH)– The Maryland Natural Resources Police say they are now searching for suspects after 13 bald eagles were found dead in February.

The eagles were originally discovered at a farm in Maryland in late February. Officials at the time weren’t sure if it was accidental, but according to the MNRP, none of the birds died of natural causes.

The investigation now turns to human causes and finding possible suspects after test results confirmed the birds did not die of natural causes.

Many of the birds weren’t mature and there was no outward sign of trauma.

Federal authorities are offering a $10,000 reward for any information.
