(KHON) – The Hawaii GOP reported a total of 15,672 voters participated in Tuesday’s Hawaii Republican Presidential Caucus.

This is a 53% increase from the 10,228 who participated in the 2012 caucus.

Earlier this week, we reported that the party had yet to hand-count 2,000 provisional ballots, or ballots that allowed people to vote at a different district, in a location most convenient for them.

The final results announced Friday were:

  • Donald Trump: 43.42%
  • Ted Cruz: 32.31%
  • Marco Rubio: 13.20%
  • John Kasich: 9.99%

Hawaii Republicans will send 19 delegates and 16 alternates to the Republican National Convention from July 18-21 in Cleveland, Ohio.

Based on the vote count in the State, Congressional District 1, and Congressional District 2, the delegation allocated to each candidate is as follows:

  • Donald Trump: 11 delegates and 9 alternates
  • Ted Cruz: 7 delegates and 6 alternates
  • Marco Rubio: 1 delegate and 1 alternate

The breakdown of delegate allocation by category is as follows:

10 statewide delegates and alternates:

  • Donald Trump: 5 delegates and 5 alternates
  • Ted Cruz: 4 delegates and 4 alternates
  • Marco Rubio: 1 delegate and 1 alternate

3 delegates and alternates from Congressional District 1:

  • Donald Trump: 2 delegates and 2 alternates
  • Ted Cruz: 1 delegate and 1 alternate

3 delegates and alternates from Congressional District 2:

  • Donald Trump: 2 delegates and 2 alternates
  • Ted Cruz: 1 delegate and 1 alternate

3 automatic delegates from Hawaii’s Republican National Committee members (no alternates):

  • Donald Trump: 2 delegates
  • Ted Cruz: 1 delegate

Under Hawaii GOP Rules, delegates (except automatic delegates) are to be appointed by the respective Hawaii Leadership Team of each of the Presidential candidates awarded delegates. The delegates must be appointed prior to the upcoming Hawaii Republican State Convention scheduled for May 21, 2016.

Delegates to the Hawaii Republican Party State Convention do not vote on or alter the delegate slates from Hawaii to the 2016 Republican National Convention.

For every five delegates and alternates named by a campaign, at least one must be from a county with a population below 500,000.
