MOLINE, Ill. (KWQC) – A local pizza place was caught in the middle of some dirty politics last week.
On Thursday, March 17, 2016, we’re told someone left a bag of human excrement and a note outside Saint Giuseppes Pizza business. The note compared the pizzas to what’s in the bag and expressed anger that the pies made there are Republican.
The owner of the pizza place is Joe Schilling, the son of former Republican U.S. Congressman Bobby Schilling.
“I’ve got a lot of really good friends that are Democrats and a lot of really good friends that are Republicans. And you know, Saint Giuseppes, my pizza place, is where we come to eat pizza and you know, share a good time. Me and you know there’s someone out there that wants to come between that, and I don’t appreciate that. I’m just trying to run a business.”
Joe Schilling says his father started the business, but the restaurant has not party affiliation.
