ALPHARETTA, Ga. (WISH) – Two dogs hugging it out was captured in a photo by staff members at a Georgia pet rescue. That photo later helped save the dogs from euthanasia.
The pair was scheduled to be put to sleep unless someone stepped up to rescue them. So, the staff at Angels Among us Pet Rescue took to social media with their picture to try and get them the help they needed before their deadline.
The rescue group posted the picture to Facebook saying “I’m Kala. This is Keira. We’re so scared in here. The people working in the shelters see how scared we are but just told each other that today is our deadline. We have to have someone rescue us or we’ll be next.”
In just a short two hours and six minutes the dogs were saved and safely in the car and on their way to a vet.
The group posted a follow up post saying “They are safe” and thanked everyone for their support and donations.
