ROBERTSDALE, Alabama (WKRG) – Misty Wilkes is five months pregnant and is accused of doing the unthinkable.
Sheriff’s investigators say the mom-to-be swallowed an unknown amount of methamphetamine after deputies on a traffic stop found a rolling meth lab in her car.
Wilkes was rushed to South Baldwin Regional Medical Center and spent three days at the facility. Fortunately, the meth ingestion did not harm her unborn child.
When doctors discharged Wilkes, deputies picked her up and charged her with chemical endangerment of a child, drug possession and tampering with evidence.
